Little Wormwood Scrubs is the quieter, smaller sibling to the main Wormwood Scrubs common, and it’s the kind of spot we recommend to guests who want green space without travelling far or dealing with crowds. It’s a proper local park — open grass, mature trees, and a genuinely peaceful atmosphere even on a sunny weekend. It works well for a morning walk, a spot of reading on the grass, or simply somewhere for kids to run around between sightseeing days. It’s far less known than the larger Scrubs nearby, which means it rarely feels busy even in good weather. There’s nothing to plan around here — no opening hours, no tickets, just open green space a short walk from Cogan’s Place. It’s the kind of low-key recommendation that doesn’t make it into most guidebooks, which is exactly why it’s worth knowing about. Best visited on a clear morning or early evening, when the light across the open grass is at its most pleasant.
