Getting to Shepherd’s Bush is easier than most first-time London visitors expect, largely because the neighbourhood sits on genuinely good transport links. Here’s the simplest route in, whichever way you’re arriving.
From Heathrow
This is the easiest of the lot. The Piccadilly line runs directly from all Heathrow terminals and connects to the Central Line — the same line that stops right at Shepherd’s Bush station, two minutes from our apartments. The Elizabeth line is a faster alternative into central London, with a straightforward change onward. Either way, you’re looking at roughly 45–60 minutes door to door, no taxi required.
From Gatwick
Take the Gatwick Express or Southern rail service into Victoria, then pick up the Circle or District line toward Shepherd’s Bush (or the Central Line, depending on your route). It’s a couple of changes but well signposted, and the whole journey typically runs under 90 minutes.
From Stansted or Luton
Both connect into central London by train — Stansted Express into Liverpool Street, or the Luton Airport Express into St Pancras — followed by a tube connection through to Shepherd’s Bush. Budget around 90 minutes to two hours depending on your specific route.
Arriving by Eurostar
St Pancras International puts you right in the middle of the tube network. Hop on the Circle or Hammersmith & City line, or connect through to the Central Line — either way, Shepherd’s Bush is a straightforward 30–40 minute journey from arrival to your front door.
Once you’re here
This is where the location really pays off. Shepherd’s Bush station combines Central Line, Overground and National Rail services, so from the moment you arrive, everything else in London — the West End, the City, the parks — is a short, direct hop away. No need for taxis, no need to overthink it.
